Glenna Jean is a well-known designer and manufacturer of premium baby crib bedding and accessories, available through baby specialty stores and online retailers. One of Glenna Jeans sets is Libbie, which was introduced in late 2005. The Libbie bedding collection is a visually striking set with ruffles and fringe for those who desire a very feminine appearance for their baby girls room decor. With a four-piece crib set retailing for $400 or more, Libbie is far more expensive than many popular themed bedding collections from other national brands, such as Kidsline and Lambs & Ivy. Then again, it is far less expensive than custom-made crib bedding with comparable fabric quality and styling. Libbie comes as a four-piece set which includes a quilt, bumper, crib skirt, and fitted sheet. There is also a five-piece option with your choice of a pillow or diaper stacker available. All pieces are also sold separately. The collection is made from a 60/40 cotton/poly blend and is machine washable. As with most bedding collections, accessories are available to enhance the nursery. A common accessory not available in the Libbie pattern is a hamper. On the other hand, Glenna Jean is making available a number of accessories not normally seen, including: a memory board, a chandelier, and various signs for decorating the walls.

The pattern used in Libbie is a genuine patchwork, in which each patch of fabric is sewn together to create the pattern used; rather than a printed patchwork in which the patches are printed onto the same fabric and stitching is used to make the patches appear independent of each other. The quilt is comprised of several squares of each of the main fabrics used in the bedding collection pink toile and gingham, solid pink chenille, green cable knit, pink and cream star pattern. Upon close inspection of each of the fabrics, I am pleased that Glenna Jean has used only premium quality fabrics. The quality of the stitching and overall workmanship is very good, as I would expect at this price point.

The bumper measures 9.5 tall with pink satin ties on the top only. One minor flaw of the bumper is that is in one continuous piece, which makes washing more of a chore. The bumper features a poodle fringe along the top. The fringe is created from thin, kinked threads of pink and green and is soft to the touch. Its an interesting addition to the bumper. Another feature of the bumper is the patchwork pattern appears on both sides of the bumper. In many cases, the inward facing part of the bumper features the patterns used in the collection, while the outward facing area is a plaid or another striped fabric used as a background. The fitted crib sheet is a cream fleece, which is also on the back of the quilt. The crib skirt has a 15 drop and features the fringe in a pom pom form.

A DUI conviction with a prior DWAI conviction can result in 70 days to one year in jail, $450 to $1,500 in fines, and 56 to 112 hours of community service. The mandatory jail term for this type of offense is 7 days. DUI convictions with a prior DUI conviction result in 90 days to one year of jail time, $500 to $1,500 in fines, and 60 to 120 hours of community service. Get a Memory Stick for your PSP:

How to Troubleshoot Video Problems

Few things can be as frustrating as picture problems. You get your system all ready to go, flip the switch, and WHAM! One or more channels look terrible. The good news is that the majority of video problems can be traced to just a few causes. Most problems are comprised of the following:

Snow

Horizontal bars rolling though the picture

Vertical bars rolling through the picture

Ghosting

Herringbone pattern (diagonal lines through picture)

Lower channels look fine, upper channels are not

These six are the main symptoms youll find when seeing video problems. Thankfully, most are fairly easy to fix.

Snow -

Snow is caused by inadequate signal strength at the tuner. Its usually caused by:

1Splitting the signal too many times.

2A weak signal from the antenna or cable company

3A very long cable run

If the signal is snowy at all your TVs, especially if you have more than 4 TVs, you probably need an RF amplifier. Check the strength at the demark (service entrance). If it is fine there, add an amplifier before the splitter. Make sure to use a quality unit with good bandwidth (out to at least 1000MHz). If you have digital cable or a cable modem, get an amplifier with a bidirectional return path to allow for communication back to the cable company. If the picture looks bad at the demark, contact the cable company.

If it is bad at only one TV, you may have a bad cable between the splitter and the TV or a very long run of cable. You can amplify just that run.

Horizontal Rolling Bars

Horizontal rolling bars are caused by DC power getting into the cable system. To fix it, disconnect the TV from all other components in the system. If the bars disappear, add the other components back in until the bars return. When you find the offending component, use a DC blocker to eliminate the DC power path to the system.

Vertical Rolling Bars

Vertical rolling bars are caused by AC power getting on the cable line. The best fix for this is to use a ground breaker. A ground breaker eliminates the electrical connection between the TV and the cable system. A ground breaker is also the main fix for a hum on your audio systems speakers.

Ghosting

Ghosting is caused by the tuner receiving identical signals at slightly different times. It can be caused by your TV receiving a local station broadcasting over the air and via the cable system at the same time. Make sure you are using good quality RG-6 coax cable and good compression fittings. Replace any low quality cable splitters or combiners with high quality units. Make sure they are tight also. This will also cure another cause of ghosting, signal reflection inside a poor cable.

Ghosting can also be caused by multi-path interference on an antenna system. This is especially true in an urban environment with lots of hills and tall buildings. To combat this, use a very directional antenna aimed directly at the desired station.

Herringbone Pattern

A herringbone pattern is caused by radio frequency interference from other stations transmitting on the same channel or adjacent channels, powerful radio signals, computers, etc. Another common cause is being equidistant from two transmitters operating on the same channel.

In short, this can be caused by just about any sort of RF radiation at the correct frequency. Really great shielding found on high quality cables helps to combat this. If you are getting this interference while modulating an A/V source on a certain channel, try switching to a different channel.

Poor Upper Channel Reception

Poor Upper Channel Reception is caused by poor signal strength on the upper channels. Use an amplifier with a tilt compensator that allows adjustment of the upper channels relative to the lower channels. This will prevent overdriving the lower channels while providing the upper channels with enough gain. Also, check to see if all components in the RF system are rated to at least 1GHz and RG-6 or RG-6Quad shield cable is being used throughout.

How Adventure Games Evolved

For a greater part of the 1980's adventure games have been popular as compared to other types of games. An adventure game is a type of video game that involves puzzle-solving as well as exploration with and some of interaction with the game characters. Narration tends to be the focus and as a result most adventure games tend to be single-player as a multi-player mode will remove the story-based aspect of it.

Most adventure games come in the form of computer games although it's possible to find console-based versions these days. So what makes an adventure game what it is? In addition, Nintendo DS released of Trace Memory and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney in 2005 and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 in 2006.

The latest development is that free online adventure games can now obtained on premium internet portals without the need for download or plug-in. Many game lovers are now turning their attention to the internet not just for playing games but for socializing as well. Perhaps this is the new way in which adventure games will be played.

Forex brokers love them or hate them you have to deal with them. Many traders think their broker is out to get them and see them as the enemy - but what is the truth about forex brokers? Well, I worked in the back office of one for ten years so let me share my story.

My job was in the margin department and my job was to look after client balances and make sure no one had a debit or even got the chance to give us one.

It was my first job and I was intrigued by the world of fast cars and millions made and lost each day.

On my first day, I was called in to see the director, a big man by the name of Declan.

He chain smoked continuously and drank whiskey all the day and the day I went to see him was no different and it was only 10am!

He invited me to sit down, fixed me with his eyes and said - Kelly remember this:

No debit balances, everyone on your run is going to blow up at some point, so watch them like a hawk and close before margin call

He thumped the desk and barked - the rule here is:

If in doubt close them out!

What about the ones who win?

Was my naive reply.

He just chucked the ones who win and shook his head and laughed loudly.

What I was of course going to discover is very few traders win and most lose but this was not the due to the brokers they were already assuming that, in fact it was in the P & L Of the company that they all did!

Despite this, the brokers on the desk did everything they could to help but most traders we had were like gamblers, and simply traded all the time.

Most had no logical method and when they lost, they got frustrated and traded even more. I can vividly remember one day trader who was seeking reassurance from one of the brokers.

Why dont you see my point of view the yen is going up cant you see it? He yelled.

Sir the broker pointed out

Why dont you change your point of view, as the price is telling you youre wrong?

Which I thought was a good answer but the phone was slammed down, as the trader cast doubt upon the traders mothers origins.

What surprised me about our traders was the way they refused to accept they were wrong, even though it was staring them in the face. The brokers would give advice when asked but were ignored and got blamed when the trader lost.

The fact was the brokerage I worked for was not out to get their clients, the brokers were generally decent guys, trying to help but as Declan observed about traders...

They cant help themselves and they couldnt.

Are things different today?

No human nature never changes and the vast majority still lose, still get emotional and still blame anyone they can but themselves.

After a few weeks my naivety had gone and I was trying to keep the clients from going debit and it was a full on job.

After one obnoxious day trader wiped himself out, Declan had a broad smile and whiskey in hand and as he strolled out into the dealing room and shouted Tommys wiped and this happened regularly to the bulk off the clients.

Did we hate our clients or set out to make them lose?

No, Tommy wasn't popular because he was rude, arrogant and a know it all but most clients were nice people.

We provided a great service, good fills and impartial advice if asked - its just.

They cant help themselves and I still remember Declans words today as clear as 20 years ago.

Who Won?

There were of course some traders who won, not many but a few and what struck me about them was they were focused, courteous and took their losses cheerfully without moaning and ran their profits.

They were from all walks of life and many to my surprise were women. They knew our role and treated us with respect, in return (like all clients) we gave them a good service and were happy when they won.

Today I have moved on and teach people to trade and have traded myself for 20 years and am still surprised at how many people still let their emotions run wild and lose but you can obtain discipline and trade successfully you just need to learn the basics, take responsibility and trade in a disciplined fashion.

If you blame your broker, then you really dont understand they transact trades and the rest is up to you.

How to Shine in Communication With Listening Skills

Do you have good listening skills? Listening happens to be a key strength of good communicators. If you want to develop good communication listening skills, there are some steps you have to follow:

1)It would help if you feel empathy for the other party when you are listening. You will be able to absorb what the other person is saying better if you have empathy because the content will be close to your heart.

2)Empathy is also important because if you have empathy, you will be able to form an association between the knowledge you value in your head and the content of the message of the other person.

3)Avoid judging the delivery of the message and the person delivering the message, if possible. This allows you to focus on the content of the message rather than on the style of delivery.

4)You can rely on some techniques to improve your level of comprehension a spoken message. For example, you can ask the other person to repeat his message or certain parts of it. Then you can rephrase the message content in your own words and ask the other party if what you understood is correct.

5)Try to maintain an active body state. If you are alert, it will be easier to fight any distractions that would prevent you from comprehending the message.

6)Try to get as much detail as you can from the person about the message. This means asking intelligent and pertinent questions. Then try to restate the message in your own words so you can determine how much you actually absorbed and understood.

7)It helps if you are genuinely interested in the other person and the message. If you are bored (both with the person and the message), it will definitely show both in your body language and your replies. If you are not interested in either the person or the message, etiquette dictates that you excuse yourself politely and go somewhere else so that you will not waste your time or the time of the other person.

8)Ever heard the phrase 'one touch is equal to a thousand words'? Well, basically what that means is, your body language can convey a lot of meaning. Study the body language of the other person so you can get the non-verbal cues he is sending. He might be irritable, sad, happy, or angry - all these emotions are subtly conveyed by his body language, not just by a spoken message.

9)To keep the conversational ball rolling, make an effort to ask the other party what his point of view or opinions are. Not only is this polite, you might actually learn something valuable in the process.

10)You should also let the other person know what your own perspective or opinions are. Try to make these specific rather than couch them in broad terms so that the other party knows exactly where you stand. This will reduce instances of miscommunication.

11)If the other person has offended you somehow, be vocal about your displeasure but do not get angry. Try to control your emotions so that the situation does not worsen.

12)Try to maintain an objective stance regarding your reactions and the consequences of the actions of the other person. This means being able to take a step back and view the situation from an objective point of view.

13)Do not try to own the conversation by dominating the flow and ignoring attempts by the other person to be heard. Try to dominate the other person and you will find you will get fewer and fewer people who want to talk to you.

14)If the other party uses emotion-laden words, sieve through the message without reacting automatically to the emotion. This will help defuse a potentially-volatile situation.

15)Follow-up any resolution to the situation. If you and the other party have agreed on something, schedule a second or even third meeting to smooth out any remaining rough spots.

This tips are just some of the ways to bolster your communication listening skills. Test these ideas and you will see the big difference they can make.

5 Tips For Buying An External Hard Drive

So you've finally decided to buy an external hard drive as a backup option for your computer. This is a great choice for you because you're making backing up your data faster and easier than you could ever have imagined. You're also making your data far more portable in larger quantities than before.

You'll no longer be limited to storing a few hundred megabytes or even several gigabytes. Nope. Now you can look forward to portable and reliable storage capacities ranging into terabytes. That frustrating desktop computer or network file server backup job just got a whole lot easier.

If you've never bought an external hard disk before then there's a few pointers here that may help to have on your shopping list before you go and make that final purchase.

1. Buy A Brand
Do yourself a huge favor and buy a brand name that you easily recognize. Sure these may cost a little more than brand x but with computer accessories like this you really do get what you pay for. If a Western Digital 100GB external drive costs $200 and another brand x 100GB drive costs $80 why do you think that is? Because the company likes you? Because they like making smaller profits? No it's because it's a cheaper drive made with inferior parts that's going to break a lot sooner than you might expect.

The other aspect of sticking with a brand is your warranty. For example Maxtor, Western Digital and Iomega are all reliable companies and well known for their external hard disks. If something goes wrong with your drive you can have it fixed. With brand x you'll probably not even be able to find an email address that you can contact the parent company on. Is saving a few dollars worth that risk?

2. Google It
Whatever brand or model you decide on make sure you do some research before purchasing. Always, always Google the exact brand and model of the drive you're considering buying. Look for reviews and especially any feedback on how reliable a drive is. You'll be very surprised to find that some companies have particularly bad reputations in terms of equipment reliability and what's known as the "click of death" in the external hard drive industry.

Spend time in Google checking out your prospective purchase. You'll be glad that you did.

3. Connectivity
When it comes to external hard drives you'll need to choose carefully when selecting your connection types. Your external hard drive will support either USB or Firewire. Firewire is the fastest option available at the moment but your computer may not support this. The vast majority of modern computers will, however, feature a USB port.

The next question now is what type of USB port do you have - USB 1.0 or 2.0? If your computer only has a USB 1.0 port then your external hard drive is going to transfer data VERY slowly. USB 2.0 is the minimum you should consider as connection options for both your computer and your external hard drive. If you don't have a USB 2.0 port (also called HiSpeed USB) on your computer you may need to get a USB 2.0 card fitted.

4. Speed
Now of course we need to talk about speed. The faster your hard drive operates the faster data will get transferred to your computer and vice versa. Without boggling you with comptuer jargon there's a couple of technical things you need to include on your shopping list.

Seek time - this needs to be 10ms (milliseconds) or less

Buffer size - more is better. Get a drive with at least a 4MB buffer.

RPM - higher is better. 5400rpm as a minimum. 7200rpm being preferred.

Stick to the above basic pointers and you'll do just fine.

5. Size
This is the simple part of the whole "buying an external hard drive" equation. Buy as much as you can afford. If you can afford 100GB then get it. However if you can afford 200GB then get it. Then again if you scraped together a few dollars more you could afford 300GB then do it.

This isn't a sales pitch. Far from it. There is simply no such thing as having too much data storage space. The 160GB drive that I have here was filled up in a little under a month. Currently a terabye option sounds good for my future needs.

Always add 50% to your data storage requirements. Honestly. You'll thanks yourself within the first 90 days of buying your external drive.
